Abstract Submission

Abstract submission opens 1st July 2019 and closes 15th October 2019 (CET). Please select one category out of the topics that best describes the content of your abstract.

Kindly note that the final decision will be made by the scientific programme committee. Priority will be given to research which was planned on the basis of a systematic review; which is pre-registered; and for which full study datasets are available in the public domain. All submissions will be evaluated by at least 2 reviewers, and in addition to the above criteria they will be interested in work which describes novel solutions to research waste, or methodological advances in measurement of research outputs or evaluation of strategies to improve research.

Notification of acceptance will be sent in writing. Presenting authors are obliged to register for and participate in the conference.

We will screen abstracts using plagiarism detecting software, and so if the work has been presented previously (for instance as a meeting abstract or a preprint) please indicate this in your submission.

Submit your abstract for consideration at the REWARD | EQUATOR Conference 2020 and make sure to be part of this major meeting and present your latest study results.

The “Concepts, Initiatives and Ideas” format encourages authors to present content that is relevant to the conference themes, however doesn’t fit into the research abstract format. This may include concepts, initiatives, educational programs, project ideas, or early stage projects for which data do not yet exist. The goal of this format is to promote the development and discussion of new ideas and approaches.

  • Please use this form to submit Concepts, Initiatives and Ideas” and send it to REC2020@mci-group.com.
  • Deadlines are the same as for the Research Abstracts.

Reviewers will evaluate the “Concepts, Initiatives and Ideas” abstracts according to the following criteria: Relevance of the topic, clarity of the project description, adequacy of the methodology (if applicable) and transparency of the presentation. All submissions will be evaluated by at least 2 reviewers. Kindly note that the final decision will be made by the scientific programme committee. Notification of acceptance will be sent in writing. To broaden programme planning and introduce fresh, interactive formats we also welcome proposals for focus tracks. Focus tracks are structured discussions between conference participants on a certain topic and can be proposed by anyone attending the conference. The proposed topic should be relevant to a broad range of participants and can be linked to the conference theme (“Sharing Strategies for Research Improvement”). We are particularly keen to provide a platform for the next generation of research improvement researchers and practitioners and encourage them to submit proposals, too. Focus tracks will be held during the conference. A focus track can be held in one session (normally 90 minutes).

The reviewers evaluate the abstracts for project ideas according to the following criteria: Relevance of the topic and clarity of the project description & adequacy of methodology and transparency of presentation.
All submissions will be evaluated by at least 2 reviewers. We will try to accommodate as many diverse and different focus tracks as possible. Kindly note that the final decision will be made by the scientific programme committee.
